Sacred Squall of Now - New Years Thoughts
Well here we go again
As pointed out by one "Kelevra" (congratulations on commenter number one or whatever people do these days), our organization has not had anywhere near a good track record with digital technology. What makes this different? Absolutely God damn nothing. You can imagine my frustration.
Anyhow, onto the meat of the subject: The SMSC is back.
What's been happening?
If you are unaware, our motile band of ineffective morons' job is to monitor and study. One of the notable big picture things we've been able to see is that, in the second half of the decade, there's been a distinct drop in the "runner" community within North America and around the world. This, clearly, is alarming. We didn't, however, had the resources, manpower, or funding to pursue this matter, or really do our job in an effective matter. You can probably guess why.
But, thankfully, we now can figure this out. Orders from up high (not too high, thank god), and recent events, have finally pushed the wheels of bureaucracy to the point were we have enough of a budget to actually do things. Now what?
The Commission has organize multiple teams (completely staggering, that only now, in the goddamn year of 20 fucking 21, that we've just taking the step up from being a loose gaggle of agents analysts and shrinks) to tackle the situation (which due to operation security we will not be sharing the whole entirety). I represent the team assigned to combing the web for anything and anyone useful. We have our eyes on a few things already, but the year is young and there's too much to do.
This Blog will continue to update with personal bits of our team, scenes from across the Commission, and information we deem important enough to share with those who need it while not compromising the safety of our people or operations. You will also be seeing Quarterly and (God forbid) Emergency Updates regarding operations as a whole.
Here's to this going well.
